Earlier on, I spoke to my colleague Catherine,/ who told me about a time she'd made a complaint a couple of years ago.
이전에, 저는 몇 년 전 컴플레인을 걸었던 때에 대해 말해준 동료 캐서린과 얘기했어요.
*Earlier on: 비교의 의미가 아니라 previously, before 등 이전의 일을 말함.
*make a complaint: t가 붙으면 명사'불평'이다. complain about something 으로 동사 '불평하다'로 쓰일 수 있다.
The incident happened at her brother's wedding, which was being held in a hotel.
그 사건은 호텔에서 열린 그녀의 형제의 결혼식에서 일어났어요.
*incident: 표면상으로는 대단해보이지 않지만 중대한 사태로 발전할 수 있는 사건.
Catherine arrived at the hotel one hour before the wedding but, to her surprise, the hotel told her that she had to pay £10 extra for checking in early.
캐서린은 호텔에 예식 한 시간 전에 도착했지만, 놀랍게도, 호텔은 그녀에게 얼리체크인을 위해 10유로를 지불하라고 말했어요.

I really think that you should, erm, change your policy for this circumstance because it's really unreasonable and, erm, unfair and I think that's just not reasonable to charge people this kind of money.
